CRAZY ABOUT HER
This movie was directed by Dani de la
Orden and it is essentially about a total random affair that came up and went
off by the blink of an eye until the male protagonist (Andri) decided to go on
a hunt after her once loved one (Carla) and finally found her out. The plot
takes some risks with its ups and downs upon the characters by showcasing their
very complexity and excentric life struggles along many unexpected journeys and
discoveries of self-acceptances. All this, throughout the hardships brought
upon them by an institution that wants social changes not by the word of the mouth.
The ending nails on an even more robust self-acceptance quest that summarizes
the finishing of an era to both protagonists and their on-journey friends.
The actors Susana Abitua and Alvaro
Cervantes pay the check with excellency, especially when dealing with the
reasons and emotions of their own characters, and what is more, with the very emotions
of the characters of their counterparts. Continuing the disco, this romantic excentric
intimate emotional film well exploit its scenes without bragging on with unnecessities
and without breaking the pace amongst themselves. So, in other words, the flow
of the general plot goes naturally thanks to the very accented and well put sub
plots that came up within that one throughout the friends’ inclusions alongside
the mentioned general journey that is the bigger plot. And all this, thanks to
the job of Natalia Duran and Eric Navarro, the screenwriters. And not without
mentioning it after all, the movie sets needed all along were fundamentally
basic, but the movie pays this out in well proportion of dynamic played out
castings and in fluent scenes.
All in all, Crazy about Her is having a score of 77 out of 100.
